Daniel at 32 months
It just doesn't seem possible that Daniel is going to be 3 years old soon. Where does the time go? Daniel is getting to be a true little boy. We have finally gotten around to potty training this weekend. So far so good. We were planning to do it months ago, but the summer flew by and then Mom died and that was definitely not the time to try something like that. He of course doesn't understand where Grandmommy is, but he will say that she is up in Heaven with God and Jesus. He also jokes that she will fall out of the sky.
He is still attending Mother's Day Out 2 days a week. He really loves it. He continues to amaze us with how smart and perceptive he is. He is also showing his sense of humor. He loves to laugh. He is also becoming quite the dare devil. He doesn't seem afraid of anything as you will see in the pictures below. He is of course still a 2 year old with tantrums and all. But I have to say for the most part he is a wonderfully flexible, easy going child. We are truly blessed.

Daniel in our Church's Pumpkin Patch. He loves to go to Church, which is a good thing since we have are there a lot.

We recently took a trip to Pigeon Forge, where we are thinking of suggesting for the next family reuion. This is him posing with the sun in his eyes at the Apple Barn restaurant and shops.

His favorite by far was the tractors and lawn mowers. One day he said "I have been thinking about lawn mowers and tractors. I am going to get the lawn mower and you can get a tractor." It was so funny. Today he said that when got bigger he was going to have his own tractor. A big one.

He also really like the rides. Here he is on a roller coaster. Again his size lets him do things his age should probably prohibit. He would have preferred if I rode with him but that wasn't possible and Dan simply wouldn't fit! I included the next picture to give you an idea of how big this was. You can tell by the look on his face that he loved it. And he had it all to himself.

We went camping at my cousin's horse farm that borders Big South Fork, a national forest a few hours from here. We took the motor home and a number of my family went. We were celebrating my grandmother's sister's birthday. Daniel had been on a big horse once before, but it had been a long time. I wasn't sure if he would be afraid but I shouldn't have worried. When he first saw the horses he said I am going to ride that. Here is he riding all by hisself. I did have to hold onto his leg just to make me feel better.

Here he is on their stud horse. I was a little nervous since this was a big fairly frisky horse. However, they both did great. I can see horses in our future.
