FINALLY, A NEW POST!

Sorry it has been so long since our last post. It has been really busy here and there are just not enough hours in the day. It is amazing how much Daniel has changed in the months since our last post. He just turned 18 months and we will go to the doctor next week for his checkup. I think he is about 35 inches tall and 28 pounds. Fortunately, his growth rate has slowed a bit. However, he has only gotten faster! He is now running, but with not much grace so his knees are constantly skinned. He can say probably 50 words and it seems he adds new ones each day. Some are more recognizable than others but we think they are all pretty cute. He can point to and name things in books like ball and apple. He has been able to point to most body parts like nose and ears for some time now, but just today he started saying eyes and nose. He can use a spoon and a fork, but still eats with his hands as well. He is still a good eater. He loves lots of fruits and vegetables, even broccoli. He recently become fascinated by "on" and wants everything on, from the lights to the radio. He walks around saying "on" all then time! He has also started preparing for the terrible twos. He can now whine with the best of them which drives us both crazy.

Below are some pictures that we took last week at the National Night Out party. It was a nationwide neighborhood crime awareness thing that was going on in Loudon. They gave away fireman hats and balloons. Balloons are one of his favorite things and he pronounces them more like baboons. The last picture is Daniel doing his lizard imitation.

We plan on not waiting so long till our next post. We will try to post more pictures soon.
