Daniel turns 8 months old!
Sorry it has been a month since our last post. Things have been pretty busy here, especially for Daniel. Here are some of the amazing the changes he has gone through this past month:
  • He was weighed recently and he is now 23 pounds and is wearing 18-24 month clothes.
  • He can pull up and stand on his own now. He is even starting to cruise on the furniture. We don't think it will be too long till he is really walking.
  • He learned how to sit down from a standing position. It is really cute how he will bend over and put his hand on the ground then sit down.
  • He got his first good bump on his head as you will see in some of the pictures. He also has a lovely bug bite on his forehead that the doctor said to ignore and it would go away.
  • He has been crawling pretty good for the last couple of weeks but only tonight managed to crawl with his stomach off the ground.
  • He has learned how to get into a sitting position when he is lying flat on the floor.
  • He has gotten more teeth. He now has a total of 6, 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom.
  • He has really taken to feeding himself crackers, teething biscuits and anything else we will give him. Now that he has so many teeth he can take bigger bites so we have to watch him pretty closely. He is a really good eater as you can tell by his weight.
  • He loves to talk and his favorite word right now is Dada.

Here he is standing up all by himself.

Starting to cruise the furniture.

Standing tall.

Its really hard to get a picture of him crawling. Notice his "big brother' Koda watching from behind. Daniel loves Koda and Koda has been really good with him, even when he gets his fur pulled.

You can see his teeth pretty good in this picture.

Check out all of the hair. It is still changing color and most people think that it is getting redder.

Wow,
Daniel has really grown a lot since we saw him in Toronto. His teeth are going to make his whole face change,
he'll no longer look like an infant but now a toddler. Even though he will probably be a very early walker, he still needs that crawling experience,
(all that left brain, right brain interaction), it's very important for children to crawl before they walk.
(take this from an early childhood specialist!)
Anyway, wow, you have got to be tired, now that he is finding his way around the house.
Thanks for the pics.
Love, Liz

Hey Rachel, Dan and Daniel,

I look at your site ever so often to see Daniel. He has really grown and he is so handsome. I love seeing his pictures. I hope you all are doing well. Amberly and Katelin are doing good...can't believe they are a Junior and Freshman...I remember when they were Daniel's age. Take care and hope to see ya'll soon.

Love,
Kelli
